Meet The Team

Olesya McDonald

 

 

Director & Owner

Olesya is originally from Moscow. She has degrees in English Language & Literature (MA) and Management (MSc). She has spent the last several years helping friends and clients with language and private school placements in Scotland and her three children attend a top Scottish private school. Olesya is passionate about culture and music. She also likes to play tennis with her husband and children.

Ian Simm

 

Company Secretary & Client Relations Manager

Ian attended one of Scotland's best private schools before graduating in International Business and Languages at the University of Edinburgh. He has extensive working knowledge of geopolitics in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has experience teaching English to foreign students. He enjoys playing a range of sports with his wife and children.

Fraser Simm

 

 

Treasurer

Fraser has more than 20 years of experience working as a bursar in the Scottish independent schools system. Throughout this time, he has helped many families with the financial aspects of private education. Fraser also works with several charities and local churches. He is a life-long cricket enthusiast, and is the Chairman of the Scottish Cricket Society. He lives in the Scottish Borders with his wife.

Marcela Ščecinová

 

Liaison Officer - Central & Eastern Europe

Marcela has a degree in English Language and Literature (MA) and has taught English for more than 15 years. During this time, she has taught with in the Language Institue at Slovakia's Ministry of Defence, as well as attending teacher training overseas and teaching around Slovakia with the British Council's Peacekeeping English Project. Marcela is passionate about floristry, reading novels and pilates. She lives in central Slovakia with her husband and two children.

Olga Devichinskaya

 

 

Liaison Officer - Russia

Having worked for many years as Economics Deputy to the Chief Doctor in the Institute of Immunology in Moscow, Olga now lives in Bratislava with her husband. In recent years, she has translated several books from Slovak into Russian. She loves opera and ballet and her main hobby is Russian cuisine.
