English Courses for International Students

School Groups

Our all-inclusive themed packages comprise fully integrated educational programmes in English for groups of young learners (14-17 years old), filled with various activities and cultural visits that are both creative and engaging.

Our unique approach allows us to provide your group with English classes that can incorporate any educational discipline to meet your school’s curricular requirements, such as English, History, Art and Literature, Science, Religious Studies or (upon request) any other subject of your particular interest to meet your learning objectives.

We care greatly about your children’s welfare. Your group will have a dedicated programme manager who will meet you on arrival, assist your group for the duration of your programme and see the group off at the airport.

We are delighted to offer your group the choice of three special programmes, throughout the academic year and during school holidays. Our one-week itinerary is based on Sunday arrival and Sunday departure (see below).

Lessons

Students take classes in the morning from Monday to Friday. Lessons are developed to help our visiting students improve and practice their existing English skills, including vocabulary and grammar while learning how to communicate effectively in different social surroundings. Classes have been made as interactive as possible so that the students can have fun while studying.

To make our academic language programmes more interesting and practical, the lessons will be co-ordinated with students’ cultural activities, excursions and workshops in the afternoon. For an example itinerary and details of timings,

Activities

As part of the cultural experience, there are different types of social events available for your children to enjoy during their visit to Edinburgh. Our aim is to provide unique, themed packages with a rich extra-curricular programme to suit your group’s needs.

We appreciate the significance of the learning that takes place outside the classroom. While mornings will be spent studying, afternoons are kept for other exciting indoor as well as outdoor activities and excursions. Guided trips to some major historic attractions, complemented with workshops (where available) will help students discover and experience engaging subjects, whether it is history, art or science in a different light. The group will also have the opportunity to enjoy some sport and other evening entertainment of their choice. See our Extras section.

With the range of educational trips on offer, all of our programmes include a full-day excursion at the weekend to some of the most fascinating and culturally enriching places in Scotland. This will also give everyone an opportunity to discover the beauty of the Scottish countryside and come home with great memories. In addition, there will be plenty of time to relax, socialise and do some shopping.
